Empowering Active Ageing Through Holistic Care
Yoga Therapy, Laughter Yoga, and Mindfulness workshops designed specifically for elderly residential homes and day care centers in Hong Kong.
Understanding the Challenges in Hong Kong
We understand the unique pressures faced by the community care sector. Caring for Hong Kong's aging population requires practical solutions to address daily challenges including:
-
Physical Decline: Joint stiffness, knee, back and shoulder pain, alongside limited mobility, are common issues that restrict daily activity and a senior's independence.
-
Emotional Isolation: Feelings of loneliness or a lack of social interaction can severely impact the happiness and overall morale of elderly residents.
-
Mental Stress: Underlying anxiety, overthinking, and poor sleep quality are prevalent, which drains vitality and immune function.
Our workshops aim to support your staff by providing interventions that are highly modified, needs-based, and safely delivered to older adults without becoming expensive or equipment-heavy.

Yoga therapy combines yoga poses, breathing techniques, and relaxation exercises to improve mental and physical health. Sessions can be completely chair-based, making them suitable for participants who are not flexible or cannot get down to the floor.

Mindfulness & Breathing Exercises
Laughter yoga combines simple laughter exercises with rhythmic clapping, breathing techniques, light movement, playfulness, and social interaction. It functions as a team-building and social bonding activity that improves energy and emotional uplift.
The practice of paying attention to present-moment experiences with awareness and openness, using the breath as a stabilizing tool, promotes relaxation. We utilize simple, non-religious exercises like mindful raisin-eating, guided body-scan meditations in a chair or bed, and belly breathing.
Kindly note: Sessions can be completely chair-based, making them suitable for participants who are not flexible or cannot get down to the floor. Exercises are paced according to mobility, fatigue, fall risk, and pain levels. Sessions can be delivered in English and Cantonese.
